There are several challenges associated with the processing “Card not present” credit card transactions. Duplicate transactions are one of the potential difficulties experienced by these groups of merchants. The situation is very detrimental because it may lead to a massive loss of capital. Internet fraud, including the instances of “friendly fraud” has also been widely experienced by the merchants. Because of transaction inconveniences, the merchants encounter unwarranted delays in the delivery of requested products. These conditions may at times lead to complete losses. Furthermore, they are incapable of tracing their “chargebacks” in an accurate manner. In addition, customer complaints are also not comprehensively addressed. Companies use more money to maintain the card-not-present status. There are other transaction processing challenges encountered by merchants due to the involvement of the third party. Due to these challenges, shipping companies experience immense delays in the transit of their shipment.
