Why do ALL WOMEN want to get married?

It has been always believed that every woman wants to get married.
Starting from the moment when a girl realizes she is a Homo Sapiens Femininum she begins dreaming about the day of her wedding.
I guess, this belief must be born in female bones since the time when a woman was meant to get married. Marriage was something like a license for a man to use a woman (his wife) as a device for delivering his offsprings, cleaning up the house and cooking. Later women made up a beautiful tale about a noble prince “driving” a white horse, with beautiful attires on followed by nice ceremonies and happy years of life with the prince. And men kindly agreed to suffer the WHOLE ceremony knowing that then they will be able to do what they want with their wives.
What else?
As men took the main positions in all spheres of life and were the ones to establish public opinion, soon it became indecent for a woman to be unmarried. Basically, a woman had to have a man to belong to. So, to be respected, all women wanted to get married as soon as possible.
Just imagine: this belief has remained in our mind till now, the age when everybody actually can do what he/she wants and live the way he/she wants, when a woman can do all the man does and even more, when all the doors are open and we do not need men to be not despised, we can gain respect by ourselves.
Why do we still need some donkey to marry?
After speaking to a lot of people, both men and women, I managed to distinguish 5 the most common reasons:
Let’s start from the most stupid ones:
- To wear white wedding attire and feel the admired looks of the guests. To be the queen of the wedding party.
- To gain a social status. There still exists a category of women who believe that they are going to be more respected if they get married.
- Some women still believe that to have children they should have a husband, even if the husband is some jerk. The fact that children will have a” father” is more important for them.
- Because of money. (No comments!)
- Because of the pressure from society. When a girl reaches certain age, she experiences pressure from her family, relatives and just aquaintants. They all think that it is high-time for her to get married.
But who said that? Who defined the age when a woman should get married? This must be a prejudice originated from the time when women had to get married not to be despised. Even my mom generation has this: “Every year a woman has less and less chances to get married. She is getting older and problems with her body occur, so she has fewer chances to get married,” - she says.
So, what do we have?
Two wrinkles and a stretch on your hip and you are already out of market. Lucky you are if somebody obtains you on “sale” Then, we should grab the first more or less “fitting the bill” man and marry him? It is absolutely outrageous!
I guess, every woman should, first of all, learn to respect herself. If she respects herself and knows what is better for her, she will never make a wrong decision.
I in no way call you not to get married at all. Just when you are going to make sure that the reason for your decision is not among those stated above.
The only reason why women should get married is love for a decent man who has already proved his love for her …and not only by words, but by his actions. Only then you can be sure that even if you break up, the only memories he leaves you are the good ones.
