- Look for opposing claims. “Do you agree, or disagree”, “Was Julius Caesar a dictator, or…” will signal that you are dealing with comparative assignments. These are easy enough because they narrow down your researches to certain literature, and already contain data in a question itself. On the other hand, merely saying yes or no will not earn you any credit. Prepare for some work.
- Writing everything yourself. This is the least restrictive, but the most intimidating type of academic assignment. Here, a teacher prefers to leave everything to your choice to see how you are managing the material covered. There is one valuable piece of advice to papers of this kind: look for something you don’t know, but will be interested to find out. Only by doing so you will be able to get into researching, and perform excellent writing.
