Term Paper on Huckleberry Finn
Posted by Julia R. to
Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain is an all-time classic that will not pass you by. Sooner or later you will be asked to complete a term paper on this topic. There are two ways out of this situation: if you listened carefully, there should be no problems; if you had some important things to do, and the information on the book just slipped through your fingers, here’s what you can write in your term paper about:
- Lowest level of a white society. Huckleberry Finn himself comes from it. His father is a drunk and a ruffian who disappears for months on end. Huck himself is dirty and frequently homeless.
- Failure of the community to provide a boy with decent protection from his dangerous father, and the way the cruel world of adults can influence child’s perception of the world.
- The review of some general society values. Huck’s willingness to think through a situation on its own merits lead him to some conclusions that are correct in their context but that would shock white society. The issue with black people is one of them.
- Racism and slavery make a separate problem in Huckleberry Finn. Twain, by exposing the hypocrisy of slavery, demonstrates how racism distorts the oppressors as much as it does those who are oppressed. The result is a world of moral confusion, in which seemingly “good” white people such as Miss Watson and Sally Phelps express no concern about the injustice of slavery or the cruelty of separating Jim from his family.
- Moral and intellectual education. An outcast, Huck has to develop his own feeling for moral. He is basing on his child intuition and the feeling of what is right, and what is wrong. Through deep introspection, he comes to his own conclusions, unaffected by the accepted—and often hypocritical—rules and values of Southern culture.
- When reading the book, take notes on the outlined issues. It will be easier to write a term paper once you have a plan, and remember specific examples from book to support your conclusions.

There have been at least a hundred thousand movies, songs, books, paintings, articles and manifests about the all-famous American dream. Wikipedia even has a separate page on this topic. If to believe its definition, the American dream is “a subjective term usually implying a successful and satisfying life. It is financial security and material comfort, as well as a dream of fame, exceeding social, ethnic, or class boundaries, or simply living a fulfilling life”.
An Americanism essay takes aspects of the dream as separate topics, and develops them in a patriotic style. There are even special competitions held between students that want to become best patriotic essay writers in their districts or schools. Colleges and universities usually announce Americanism essays as an opportunity for the winners to obtain scholarship.
Typical Americanism essay topics may sound like this: Continue reading…
Report Writings: History
Posted by Julia R. to
Report writing itself evolved from the necessity to report information on actions taken to prevent any negative effect, and not from the access time and mean plans of your teacher. Did you know that the first police offices (and police establishments contributed a lot to the history of writing reports) appeared in 27 BC, and were the attempt of Caesar’s nephew, Gaius Octavius, to revenge his uncle’s death.
The police was called the Roman vigilies. They were to protect the emperor, provide daytime fire brigade assistance, and to protect the citizens from thieves, vagabonds and other potentially dangerous people. The vigilies also had to report on actions taken to the emperor.
The first professional police force in the world was the British Bobbies in 1829. They practiced such things as discipline, appearance, recruitment, and report writing.
1902 was the year when the International Association of Chiefs of Police started working in America. In 1918 August Vollmer, chief of the Berkeley P.D., USA, became the patriarch of police professionalism. This man was responsible for introducing America to crime labs, fingerprint repositories, and uniform crime reporting – official data on crime that is reported to law enforcement agencies across the United States. Writing a Response Paper
Posted by Julia R. to
There are short writings assigned by teachers. A react-and-response paper is one of them. This is the writing you are asked to do after reading a certain book assigned in class, or watching a movie (which is a more rare case).
This is no time and place for long sentences, vague phrases, and big amount of words. A teacher knows what the book is about. All he wants to receive is your feedback.
The structure of the paper is typical: it has an introduction, main paragraphs, and a conclusion. The only difference from essays is in length – response papers are much shorter.
Before writing one, consider asking yourself questions:
- How do I feel about what I have read?
- What do I agree and disagree with?
- Can I identify myself with the situation?
- What would be the best way to evaluate the story?
Keep these questions in mind when writing. Continue reading…

Dissertation Writing: History
Posted by Julia R. to
Today dissertation writing opens doors to endless possibilities, high social status, and a well-paid job. Rejoice, oh student, for medieval masters and doctors didn’t have as many possibilities, as nowadays candidates do.
Did you know that the degrees of bachelor and master did not originate until the thirteenth century? Before that, the intellectual life was associated only with monasteries, which were mostly concerned with the study of the liturgy and prayer; very few monasteries could boast true intellectuals. And even after the universities were introduced, the mastership originally meant no more than a certificate of fitness to teach at a university. Up to twelve years of studying were required before a student was allowed to obtain the masterate or doctorate degree.
Students also had limited options in studying: after a six-year course of liberal arts (arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, music theory, grammar, logic, and rhetoric), only three faculties – law, medicine, and theology – were opened to pursue the master’s and doctorate degree.
When completing a dissertation nowadays, each candidate is assigned a supervisor for assistance. And lucky these candidates are, for in Medieval Ages there were no instructors. Moreover, students were tried for crimes in a church court if anything suspicious about them was discovered. Continue reading…

CommentCustom Essays: Writer
Posted by Julia R. to
Some customers underestimate the importance of staying in direct contact with custom essay writers. They think that a submitted order form with a description enclosed is just about enough. In fact, there are several important reasons for staying in close contact with a writer while he’s completing an order.
Let’s think about it together. You fill in the order form to buy a custom essay online, and give detailed directions on how your order has to be completed. You know that these directions can not be adjusted, so you decide to just wait till your order is ready for you. Even if there are minor problems, you decide to hang up on them. But just think for a minute: what if a writer that works for you is short on sources that have to be used? He will certainly want to contact you to settle everything up. Your help here can be more significant than you can actually imagine. You will be able to provide him with books used in class and, therefore, achieve two important goals. Firstly, make writing more effective. Secondly, set up a strong background for a custom essay that is built on required literature.
One more important thing that is not usually taken into consideration is the change of deadline. What if you find out that you have more time to turn in the assignment than you actually thought there is? You will be able to do some savings by extending the working period for your essay writers. Custom Essays
Posted by Julia R. to
Custom writing service is a response to a rapid development of a modern world. And it will stay in business for quite a while.
Remember, how sometime ago essay mills were on the roll? Huge databases, millions of opportunities… they are almost gone today. The reason is simple – when some smart guys came up with plagiarism detection software, cheating became almost impossible. Downloaded essays are now easily detected, and students that buy written papers are accused of committing academic frauds.
Turnitin.com is an Internet-based plagiarism-detection service that is used by hundreds of teachers. They submit essays to the Turnitin website to check for plagiarism. After each checking the essays are added to the database, establishing complete control over a writing process. There are a lot of other plagiarism detection programs (like Eve) that provide various options: plagiarism checking, reports, etc.
For a reason as obvious as this one, essay mills are now closer and closer to their end. At the same time, custom writing services (and I’m talking about quality services) are impossible to detect. Writers work in accordance with descriptions provided by customers. They have access to a big database, which gives them the opportunity to conduct personal resources (opposing the option of downloading and submitting a custom essay like an authentic one). They never resell written papers, leaving them unique. Continue reading…
