Indeed, writing a school essay is very useful for the pupils. For instance, it develops their abstract thinking, communicative skills, and teaches them to express themselves clearly. That is why every pupil should consider writing a school essay.

- Choosing a topic. The topic should be the one that is interesting for you; in this way it will be easier for you to open it. Remember that a topic should be specific enough.
- Generating ideas. Think of all the events, associations, and facts you can recollect while thinking about the chosen topic for your school essay.
- Writing a draft essay. School essay usually has the following structure:
- Introduction (gives a general idea and problems that are going to be discussed)
- Main part (discusses the problem solution, gives examples)
- Conclusion (sums up the results and ideas)
- Choosing a heading. When the school essay is ready, it is time to give it a name. Think of some catchy phrase that relates to the content of the text. Remember that the name should be given to your school essay AFTER its composition.
- Proofreading. Once you have composed your school essay, try reading it as if you were a member of the general public. Be critical. Try to define the weak and strong points of the essay.
- Rewriting the draft variant, taking into consideration the previous analysis.
