Is Creative Writing Like Essay Writing?

Creative writing appears to be a difficult process because there are few known rules and techniques. Most of us are unable to engage in creative writing because we feel that we lack creativity which makes it a rather daunting task.  But in reality, creative writing is not as difficult a process as it seems.

In fact, it can be very interesting if we set our hearts and minds to it because imagination plays a crucial role in writing creatively. Another important aspect of creative writing is the ability to express oneself clearly on paper which actually involves the art of playing with words in a convincing manner and enables the reader to imagine vividly.

In any form of writing, informal or informal, we should begin with  informing our readers what we are going to tell them; following which we then describe in details about the main theme or subject. There really is no reason to change the pattern of writing just because it is creative writing.

As a matter of fact, the most important thing to use in your creative writing is your boundary line.  Once you have a clear sense of what you are allowed to do and not allowed to do, you can plan your essay to communicate a point within those boundaries.

In addition to that, if you draw on a previous experience that you know well and expand, you will find that creative writing is very easy.  In other words, good creative writing does not start with a blank slate. It starts with knowing your boundaries, and starting with a familiar point. These things will stir your creative writing.
